1973 Superior 3-way (My first hearse)

"She's in love with herself, she likes the dark.."

.

This is me and my first hearse I had ever owned. I lucked out on getting her when I happened to go to the local library to obtain a listing of every single mortuary in the state by looking at ALL the phone books in the state, for every single county. I ended up calling a mortuary in the mountains and skipping school to go up to see her the next day.

The mortician who owned the place was very friendly to me and actually wanted to sell me the car. Most times you have to wrestle hearses away from morticians if you are a but freaky, and I have even gone to look at hearses for sale directly from the funeral home and had the people refuse to sell it or come up with some excuse on why the cannot sell it once they have seen me. Ass-clowns.

Anyway, he was actually very nice, and told me that although he could not give me a super low price, he would sell it to me for less than he wanted at $1600 which was a heck of a deal for a 1973 3-way with all velvet interior.

For those of you out there who are considering selling your first hearse, let me advise you: DON'T DO IT!!! You will regret it every time you see it on the road, and realize you were lame to have sold it in the first place. I made that mistake with this hearse. In a way it is good because it's sale led Jeff Brown and I to become friends, and the DHA to become a reality, but in many other ways, I wonder if Jeff keeps his garage locked at night and how long it would take him to show up at my place...hmmm...
